Daniel Catrambone
Daniel Catrambone joined our board in 2019 as a high school freshman at West Morris Mendham High School. He is now a part of the Class of 2026 at Colby College. Daniel is an active mentor in our swimming program and enjoys sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge for swimming every Saturday with our kids. He enjoys working with swimmers of all ages and abilities and helping them achieve their individual goals and strides in swimming. He has also mentored in our Horticulture program and participates in new mentor training sessions and in-services. During K2K’s year and a half online, Daniel hosted and mentored across all virtual programs, and worked one developing current programs and creating new ones. He developed and ran our academic and social skills support program, the Learning and Life Skills Academy. He played a vital role in helping to lead K2K’s return to in-person programming for Fall 2021
At Mendham, Daniel was a high honor roll student and is also pursuing the International Baccalaureate(IB) Diploma, a two-year program designed to give students a rigorous educational program with a global perspective. At school, he is also a Peer Leader and a club officer of both Service Club and UNICEF/Amnesty International Club, and additionally served as a PALS(Project Adventure) Leader for underclassmen.
A varsity swimmer for Mendham, Daniel has also swam for the Morris County Swim Club, where he also worked as a Swim Lessons Supervisor and Swim Coach. He spends his summers as a lifeguard, swim lessons instructor, and Preteam Coach at the Chester Area Pool.
