Joe Scerbo  is a Founding Board member. He is currently a sophomore at Columbia University, where he swims for their NCAA Division 1 Men’s Swimming and Diving Team and is a pledge of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He continues his volunteer service teaching swim lessons to the children of New York City and is an active member of the Columbia Student Athlete Advisory Committee. In addition to his volunteer service with K2K, in high school Joe served on the Board of New Jersey Swimming as an Athlete Representative, the Athlete’s Committee and the Technical Planning Board.  He is also a long time volunteer for Habitat for Humanity-Newark.

A 2017 graduate of Mountain Lakes High School, Joe served as captain of both his high school and club (Cougar Aquatic) teams. He was selected three times for both the All Daily Record’s Swimming First Team, and the New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team. He is a proud member of the National Honor Society, and has been selected for the NISCA Academic All America Swim Team, as well as a three-year appointment as a USA Swimming Scholastic All American.

Joe has coached for the Mountain Lakes Swimming and Diving Team and the East Hanover Summer Swim Team, worked as a swim instructor for Swim America, and lifeguarded. For the past two summers, Joe interned for an engineering firm.
