Rachael Cheren

Rachael Cheren has been participating at Kids to Kids since 8th grade and became part of the board during her freshman year.

Rachael is a junior honor roll student at Morristown High School, where she participates on the varsity field hockey team and swim team since her freshman year. She is also involved in many clubs, including manager of rocketry club, president of health professions club, Latin club, and Girls in STEM club. Additionally, her involvement in the STEM academy and love for biology drove her to pursue the biomedical STEM track, as she hopes to one day be able to work in pediatrics, helping children and putting a smile on their faces!

Furthermore, Rachael spends her summers lifeguarding at the Kellogg Club, where she is also an apprentice coach for the swim team and has participated on the team for 5 years. In addition to swimming, Rachael looks forward to volunteering at a local elementary school where she helps coach the girls field hockey club. Rachael’s love for working with the kids shines through at Kids to Kids as every weekend she is full of positivity and enthusiasm. Her favorite part about working with the kids is seeing their skills in the water improve every weekend, and the joy they get from accomplishing a new task. She has received the gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for the past 2 years, a prestigious award for community service and looks forward to every weekend that she gets to work with the kids.
